While at Pixar, Sophie also served as a Director of Technical Artists for the Sets and Lighting Departments, overseeing 110 technical artists.
In early 2018, Sophie moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles with the desire to work on live action productions to experience another aspect of film making and further develop herself creatively and technically. Since then, she has been an Art Director and Production Designer on several short films and web episodes.
Sophie is known for her impeccable visual aesthetics in the construction of sets and environments, and composition of shots. Her extensive production experience helps her bring budget and time efficient solutions to design problems.
She studied computer animation at the National Art and Design Center in her native Montreal, Canada. She majored in Film and Television Production at the Cegep de Jonquiere. Sophie then began work at a computer animation software company, Softimage, where she was a Customer Support Specialist. Some of her clients included National Film Board of Canada, FOX Animation Studios and Electronic Arts.
Sophie now lives in Los Angeles with her husband Jake and their daughter Mélodie. She is excited to pursue work on live action productions and collaborate with other experienced artists.
